With five complete test floors along with internal reliability and failure analysis labs, Presto provides a full range of semiconductor capabilities that cover all aspects of test, qualification, and ramp through volume production. Our experts have deep expertise in digital, analog, mixed-signal, RF, and millimeter-wave applications. Presto has earned a long, successful track record of qualifying new devices, including for the highly demanding automotive market.
Built over decades of experience producing and shipping semiconductor units in volumes, Presto operates a global, flexible, and integrated supply chain system, supported by two Asian production operations and a Hong Kong-based logistics center. With this infrastructure in place, Presto can ramp products locally, safely, and securely in Europe and move manufacturing to Asia when volume warrants it.

Charles Hosono
Charles Hosono brings over 30 years of experience in the global semiconductor industry to Presto, alongside a proven track record of supporting high-growth international companies. He began his career as a Radio Frequency (RF) integrated circuit design engineer before holding sales and marketing leadership roles at NXP and Infineon Technologies.
A recognized expert in business growth and organizational structuring, Charles Hosono notably contributed to the success of LBO operations at Linxens as Global VP of Sales and Marketing and President of the Asia-Pacific region.
With a robust international background, Charles spent nearly 15 years in Asia between Singapore and Shangai, providing him with a global perspective on semiconductor market challenges.
Christian Käppner
Christian Käppner
Christian Käppner joined Presto Engineering in February 2023 with 25 years of financial experience in the high-tech and pharmaceutical industry with strong international background comprising leadership and executive positions in mid-size company as well as large corporations.
Throughout his career, Christian has developed financial teams with positioning the function as a collaborative business partner, managing growth and strengthen systems and processes. He has also successfully conducted significant transformational projects in multi-cultural environments. Before joining Presto, Christian was Chief Financial officer of Provepharm Life solutions and held several leadership positions at Thales, Parametric Technology, Heptagon Oy and Inside Secure.
He received a Master in Finance from Aix-Marseille University.
Anders Andersen
Anders Andersen
Anders has more than 13 years of experience in Operations and Quality in the semiconductor business.
Anders joined Presto in 2018 as Team Leader for Production Engineering and then served as Supply Chain Director in 2022, before being appointed VP Production in 2023.
He was previously with Mellanox Technologies / IPtronics as Director of Operations for 8 years, where he managed all operations activities for high-speed optical communication ASICs. Prior to that, Anders spent 13 years with Bossard AG, holding several leadership positions within Quality, IT, Project and Process Management, both in Europe and North America.
Frédéric Valentin
Frédéric Valentin
Frédéric brings over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a strong track record in sales and marketing leadership and international team management across the Industrial, Medical and Automotive sectors.
Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President Sales EMEA at ams OSRAM, where he led strategic customer engagements and drove commercial growth across the region. His career began with engineering roles at Siemens, Infineon and Thales, before moving into Product Line Management at ON Semiconductor, overseeing global portfolios of wired and wireless connectivity solutions for the Industrial IoT space.
Frédéric combines a deep technical background with business acumen, having successfully managed complex product lines and global multicultural teams. He holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics from ENSICAEN, and a diploma in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris.
Rod Oldfield
Rod Oldfield
Rod brings over 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. His career has been defined by his involvement in groundbreaking developments in the field.
He began in the late 1970s at Motorola, where he worked on the first 16-bit microprocessors, before continuing his career at Texas Instruments. He then went on to lead Temic’s UK operation (later Atmel) for five years, building both extensive experience and a strong reputation within the industry.
In 1994, he founded GarField Microelectronics Ltd, identifying a niche in the custom silicon market and establishing one of the first independent design and supply businesses. In 2006, he led the acquisition of Matrics, bringing additional analogue expertise and valuable intellectual property into the company.
He later headed GF Micro, formed from the transformation of GarField Matrics in 2018. During this time, he also oversaw the creation of a dedicated product design team. Throughout his career, Rod has remained committed to delivering high-quality silicon solutions while strengthening the company’s reputation as a reliable supplier and development partner.
